I just wanted to let you guys know a bit more about what I am doing here in Nova Scotia. On Thursday at noonish, I head over to a church which is about a 5 minute walk from the boys house. At the church we use their gymnasium and we serve a couple hundred teenagers craft dinner. So my job is to help with set up, setting tables, and getting things ready to serve. As the kids start to come my YWAM team split into mixed gender pairs. In twos we stand outside and greet the kids coming in.We also hold our free prayer signs that we have made and allow kids to approach us to pray for them. When I am not at the prayer station I am inside eating at random tables and getting to know the kids who are at KD. It is a great way to reach out in our community. Thursday nights I head down to the Salvation Army church where I volunteer at a after school program. The kids that come are from the community and many of them are unchurched. I was assigned to work with the kids ages 4-6. Its been interesting as sometimes it feels like I am being more of a mom then a leader. I assist soemtimes with their eating of dinner and colouring but its been amazing getting to know them. One little boy always saves me a seat at dinner and guards it with his life. We have really been working with the community and it is great. Please contact me if you have any questions or to receive our prayer letter.
Please Pray for my financial situation. I need to raise another $700 and then my outreach portion is finished. This money helps pay for my time in Thailand. If you have any questions or want to talk to me, please email me at hjfgray@gmail.com
